The Library is back to its REGULAR HOURS.
We have an ongoing BOOK SALE with lots of titles to choose from.
MEMBERSHIPS are $5 - individual and $10 - family. We remind you that your Alix library card will let you take books out of virtually any library in the province at no extra cost.
Did you know that you can request almost any title through INTERLIBRARY LOANS? With a valid library card you can either request books in person, via email, or online through the library catalogue (enter your 14-digit barcode on your library card and the last 4 digits of your phone number).
The next library BOARD MEETING is September 11, 2006 at 6:30 pm at the library. Public are welcome to attend and observe.

- Alix Public Library has served the residents of Alix and area for over 95 years. In 1914 the United Farm Women of Alberta, spearheaded by Irene Parlby, opened a library in the community's UFA Hall. Though there have been many changes over the years, the library is still housed in the same place.
