Winter is here! The snow is on the ground!
Reminder: the first draw for the FREE Library Card will be November 29, 2007. These draws will be happening every month so feel free to enter more than once.
The Library will have a table at the WI Christmas Market on November 30, 2007. For sale will be a selection of gently used books as well as some book bags. Great for Christmas gifts!
The library will be closed over the Christmas Holidays. Dates still to be determined.

- Alix Public Library has served the residents of Alix and area for over 95 years. In 1914 the United Farm Women of Alberta, spearheaded by Irene Parlby, opened a library in the community's UFA Hall. Though there have been many changes over the years, the library is still housed in the same place.
